Primary Duties- Uphold Federal and State Laws, as well as County Regulations, including Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws
- Perform routine patrols to deter crime and provide first aid when necessary
- Investigate incidents and address community concerns
- Gather and secure evidence
- Manage traffic at events and oversee public behavior
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Minimum age requirement of 21
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
- No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
- No history of Domestic Abuse offenses
- Successfully pass all required tests and background investigations
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Maintain a good level of physical fitness
- Complete volunteer hours as a Special Deputy
- Acquire necessary equipment in accordance with department policies
- Possess a current State of Ohio Basic Peace Officer Certification
