Job Summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing expertise to staff in patient management and clinical competencies and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.
  • Assess patients and/or populations; develop, implement and evaluate plans of care; clearly document and communicate information both in written and verbal forms.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Utilizing evidence-based practice, serve as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
  • Assist in the education, training, and development of new and existing staff members.
  • Engage in the 'community of the work unit' by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, and engaging in Quality Improvement.
  • Leverage technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
  • Commit to continued professional development of self and others.
  • Contribute to the division and/or specialty goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan.
Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree or equivalent provision.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio.
  • Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population.
