Williamsburg, Virginia, United States Colonial Williamsburg Company Full time
About Us

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, established in 1926, is a distinguished private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to education, history, and culture. We proudly manage one of the most extensive and renowned museum complexes globally, with a mission centered on ensuring that future generations can learn from our past. Our commitment involves the preservation and restoration of 18th-century Williamsburg, Virginia's colonial capital, where we engage, inform, and inspire visitors to explore the rich history and diverse narratives that contributed to the formation of a new nation. As the largest living history museum in the United States, our Historic Area spans 301 acres, featuring 88 original structures and 525 reconstructed buildings that reflect the 18th-century aesthetic through meticulous archaeological and architectural research. Our team consists of skilled interpreters and expert tradespeople, all dressed in period attire, who vividly bring the 18th century to life. Additionally, we operate two exceptional museums, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, along with a prestigious research library, the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library. Our accommodations include five premier options, providing unique lodging experiences within the Historic Area. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of dining options that merge historical inspiration with contemporary culinary trends. Each year, millions of guests visit Williamsburg, with many more engaging with us through digital platforms.

Sweet Tea & Barley: This establishment celebrates Southern culinary traditions, offering a menu that features innovative dishes in a relaxed setting. From fresh salads to delightful pub fare and hearty sandwiches, it is the perfect venue for social gatherings.
