Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular financial and data analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and post accurate journal entries in line with the company's general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including GAAP and SOX.
  • Utilize SAP software for various accounting tasks and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the company's financial operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather information for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Review and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and responding to auditor requests.
  • Continually update knowledge of industry trends and advancements to ensure the company maintains its competitive edge.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in financial and data analysis, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of process improvement and the ability to drive efficiency in financial operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
