Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Lead Cashier to join our team at Family Farm and Home. As a Lead Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales quickly and accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cash register area and surrounding areas.
  • Assist in the training and development of new cashiers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and oversee the work of cashiers, ensuring that they are meeting sales and customer service goals.
  • Balance cash control log books, cash drawers, and coupon reconciliation, and communicate with management on any discrepancies.
  • Responsible for achieving passing scores on corporate store cashiering audits.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the cash office and cash register areas.
  • Communicate with management on unresolved cash discrepancies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of cash register systems.
