Job Description

The Senior Account Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the accounts receivable department at Envision Healthcare. This role ensures the effective collection of accounts receivable for all clients and the proper processing of denials. The Manager must maintain constant communication and follow up with staff and upper management to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze information and processes to develop more effective or efficient strategies and processes.
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise business operations to ensure staff members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and achieve business and profit objectives by utilizing management reports and tools, including Tableau KPIs and other reports.
  • Oversight of automated workflow systems to ensure the proper completion of denials and no-response items.
  • Monitor the inventory of incoming insurance calls and communicate department issues to the Director of AR Resolution.
  • Direct interaction with other legacy RTI departments and work with internal company departments to maintain accurate and useful processes.
  • Generate reports and present information to upper-level managers or other parties.
  • Hire, train, motivate, and coach employees to provide attentive and efficient service to customers.
  • Review staff performance, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective action.
  • Maintain a high level of written and oral communication with internal departments, outside client contacts, and other insurance plan or agency providers.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Management, or Healthcare related field.
  • Three years A/R management experience required.
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Time and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.
