Job Summary

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Laboratory Services. This key role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and operation of laboratory departments to meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide leadership and expertise in the management of the department, including human resource management, financial management, and quality management.
  • Department Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory department, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and coordinate workgroups to address organizational goals, and facilitate excellent communication, internally and externally.
  • Performance Management: Develop and monitor performance indicators/metrics for assigned departments/services, and evaluate business initiatives to recommend process/system redesign and new services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain College of American Pathologists (CAP), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) standards and accreditation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Medical Laboratory Science, and a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Three (3) years clinical laboratory experience and five (5) years management experience in a Healthcare setting, including Trauma Level II experience.
  • Skills: Leadership skills, written and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of basic techniques in financial analysis.
