About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services team, you will play a vital role in providing direct treatment to students, focusing on helping them develop practical and productive skills to navigate their daily environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with students, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
  • Develop and lead group therapy activities, utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavioral change and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for students, including intake and discharge processes.
  • Utilize treatment materials and resources to inform and enhance therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed anecdotal records for each assigned student, tracking progress and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field, with at least five years of experience in a related position.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and other software packages, with proficiency in technology to communicate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize assigned tasks, with a focus on productivity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, and communicate effectively, with the ability to travel to and from assigned work locations.
