About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team at DuraServ Corp.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 based on location and experience.

Job Summary

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving new business growth, expanding market presence within the assigned territory, and cultivating strong, long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

This role will serve as a consultant to customers by leveraging technical product knowledge and expertise in overhead door and dock leveler solutions to recommend tailored offerings that address client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage Relationships

Manage relationships with key stakeholders within large corporate accounts to drive engagement and long-term partnership growth.

  1. Nurture Customer Relationships

Establish and nurture strong customer relationships, consistently achieve or surpass sales targets, and provide expert technical consultation to address client needs and optimize solutions.

  1. Generate New Business Opportunities

Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach measures to include cold and leveraging social media.

  1. Stay Current with Technical Knowledge

Stay current with latest technical knowledge and advancements related to overhead doors, dock levelers and associated equipment to effectively support customer needs.

  1. Prepare Estimates

Prepare estimates for all construction projects and possess a broad understanding of contracts and loading dock design principles.

  1. Project Management

Perform project management responsibilities as required for successfully sold jobs, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills

(K) Knowledge of working with technology and Microsoft Office 365

(S) Proficient in mechanical skills

(A) Ability to identify and resolve problems

(K) In-depth knowledge of proactive, outreach, marketing techniques and best practices

(A) Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines

(S) Excellent negotiation and leadership skills

(S) Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience
  • Education and Requirements

High School graduation or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor's degree, preferred. Combined experience in this type of job role of 5 or more years with education is desirable.

Experience in complex selling environments, including conducting presentations at the C-suite level.
