Job Summary

The Food Service Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing guest interactions and ensuring their needs are met. This position oversees multiple service stations during events and is responsible for the initial setup of food offerings. A thorough understanding of the menu is essential to guarantee timely service and adherence to food safety protocols. The supervisor also manages the breakdown of service areas after events conclude.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management prior to events to review operational details.
  • Supervise staff during event preparations and breakdowns across multiple zones.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are attractively presented and maintained throughout the event.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items.
  • Build rapport with guests and utilize suggestive selling techniques.
  • Assist guests in finding suitable dining arrangements.
  • Complete all setup and breakdown tasks within designated timelines.
  • Conduct post-event inventory and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Process sales transactions using point-of-sale systems.
  • Understand and manage all event-related paperwork and reports.
  • Maintain compliance with location appearance standards.
  • Oversee the completion of opening and closing checklists for service stations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation practices.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service policies.
Essential Job Functions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and actively engage with guests.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • React promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrate stamina and agility to remain mobile throughout the day.
  • Efficiently transition between sitting and standing positions.
