About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Schwan's Company in Deer Park, Texas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our facility, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, and driving efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including predictive maintenance, equipment repair, and maintenance training programs.
  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance, diagnose and repair issues, and ensure that maintenance is performed to maximize available run time.
  • Monitor breakdowns, assign resources, and keep upper management informed of issues affecting department performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations for food safety and maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise employees, including skills development, safety, housekeeping, policy administration, discipline, employee relations, cost control, and problem-solving.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience, with previous supervisor experience.
  • Knowledge of general construction, electrical systems, electronic systems, microprocessors, mechanical systems, and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Working knowledge of food plant production and processing equipment, occupational hazards, safety, EPA regulations, USDA, and sanitation standards.
  • Basic PC skills, including expertise with MS Office and Outlook; SAP experience beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
