Job Summary
The Critical Zone Exploration Network is seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure track faculty position in Aqueous and Environmental Geochemistry. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our research efforts in the Critical Zone, a region that spans from the Earth's surface to the water table.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a rigorous externally funded research program focused on the Critical Zone, with a emphasis on Aqueous and Environmental Geochemistry.
- Contribute to one or more of our research themes, including Global Change and Surface Processes, Water, Dynamic Earth, and Geography, Society and the Environment.
- Teach and mentor students in our undergraduate and graduate programs, with a focus on integrating geochemical tools with quantitative approaches to solving problems in natural systems.
- Participate in field-oriented research that can be incorporated into our courses and contribute to the development of new research initiatives.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Geosciences or a related field, with a strong background in Aqueous and Environmental Geochemistry.
- Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
- Experience in integrating geochemical tools with quantitative approaches to solving problems in natural systems.
- Ability to develop a rigorous externally funded research program and contribute to our research themes.
