About the Manning College of Information and Computer SciencesThe Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) at UMass Amherst is home to graduate and undergraduate programs that are ranked among the top twenty-five in the nation. CICS research encompasses all major technical specializations across the profession and serves as the focal point for interdisciplinary computing research at UMass Amherst.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking exceptional teachers in computer science and informatics to join our growing Teaching Faculty. We encourage applications in all areas of computer science and informatics, but are particularly interested in faculty who can teach courses in introductory CS, math foundations, theoretical CS, software engineering, and HCI.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and informatics
- Develop and continuously refine curricula
- Work collaboratively with other faculty in the teaching and tenure tracks
- Hold an MS or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field
- Strong commitment to teaching and a proven track record of teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science or a closely related field
- Prior research record in Computer Science or a closely related field is strongly preferred
- Full faculty voting rights
