About the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences
The Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) at UMass Amherst is home to graduate and undergraduate programs that are ranked among the top twenty-five in the nation. Our college has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary computing research, with affiliated research centers such as the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval, the Center for Data Science, and the Center for Smart and Connected Society.
Job Description
We are seeking exceptional teachers in computer science and informatics to join our growing Teaching Faculty. We encourage applications in all areas of computer science and informatics, but are particularly interested in faculty who can teach courses in introductory CS, math foundations, theoretical CS, software engineering, and HCI.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science and informatics
- Develop and continuously refine our curricula
- Work collaboratively with our other faculty in the teaching and tenure tracks
Requirements
Applicants must hold an MS or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a PhD strongly preferred. A strong commitment to, and proven track record of, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science or a closely related field is required.
