Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. As a Registered Nurse in our operating room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care that meets the patient's needs.
  • Assess patient conditions and implement treatment changes as necessary, working in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly, ensuring the protection and security of patient health information.
  • Adhere to infection prevention initiatives and deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
  • Special training and/or experience in surgical procedures.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Language Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
Skills
  • Basic computer knowledge.
