We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care
- Independently perform the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care that meets the patient's needs.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements, demonstrating expertise and judgment.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
- Solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions, exercising judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams, working within broad guidelines and policies.
- Communication and Education
- Explain difficult or sensitive information, working to build consensus and resolve conflicts.
- Provide education and facilitate learning for patients, families, and patient care team, demonstrating sensitivity to diversity and promoting inclusivity.
- Regulatory Requirements
- Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment, adjusting to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
- Meet patient and patient family needs, taking responsibility for patient safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of one (1) year work experience in the operating room.
- Special training and/or experience in surgical procedures.
- Current AHA BLS Certification.
- Current AHA ACLS Certification.
- Current AHA PALS certification.
- Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree).
- Additional languages preferred.
