The Carrier System Engineering team collaborates closely with our Carrier Sales division, working alongside major partners such as Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.

Together, we fulfill the promise of the Apple platform to B2B clients, equipped with the resources and expertise to address our mutual customers' requirements.


Role Responsibilities:
The Carrier System Engineer addresses both technical and business challenges with our Carrier partners, ensuring mutual success for Apple and its clientele.

We offer technical pre-sales support and consultation to prepare our Carrier partners to deliver exemplary Apple practices and solutions for B2B clients at scale, aiming to revolutionize workplace efficiency.


The Carrier System Engineer must possess a profound understanding of the Carrier business (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) and their technical aspirations, acting as a trusted advisor to boost sales revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.

We work to eliminate technical obstacles and friction points, improving customer readiness for our platform. Furthermore, we provide technical guidance and training to numerous Carrier B2B sales representatives and technical teams across the U.S., along with their B2B clients.


Carrier System Engineering functions as an extension of Carrier sales teams, concentrating on the architecture, validation, implementation, and maintenance of Apple devices for our shared clientele.

The ideal candidate for the Carrier System Engineer role brings unparalleled expertise and engages in various Apple planning, architecture, and support activities, including:

  • Management of software updates and patch distribution
  • Testing, validation, and change control of hardware lifecycle
  • Design, testing, and implementation of device management policies
  • Architecture, implementation, and compliance of security systems
  • Integration of enterprise software, cellular, and network solutions
  • Cloud-based Identity Provider (Okta, MSFT Entra, Google) integration
  • Leadership of strategic projects across multiple vendors and teams
  • Systems troubleshooting and reporting


Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a robust technical background (10+ years) and be adept at educating and simplifying complex issues for diverse audiences across all business levels.

Experience in evaluating complex IT enterprise environments (Deployment, Security, SSO, Zero Trust) is essential. A background in mobile technology and solutions, including Carrier network infrastructure, 5G, Private Networks, Network Slicing, Mobile Device Management, and Security Solutions, is required, along with knowledge of integration within these environments.

A comprehensive understanding of network services and protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, DMVPN, and IPSEC is necessary, along with expert-level knowledge of network design for large-scale WAN environments demonstrating cellular connectivity. A proven track record in advising on technical business transformation solutions for large enterprises or validated experience in a consultative pre-sales engineering role is essential.

Ability to articulate Apple's stance on Security and Privacy, emphasizing the benefits of built-in security measures, is crucial.

Familiarity with third-party infrastructure products and services from Apple, including Jamf, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Druva, Mosyle, and similar, is advantageous.

Strong communication skills at all organizational levels are required. Where applicable, industry certifications and clearances are preferred. Exemplary interpersonal skills are necessary; the successful candidate must excel in written communication and possess outstanding video-based and in-person support abilities.

Capability to foresee trends that will be essential for growth with our Carrier partners is important.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. 25% - 50% Domestic Travel may be necessary.

Analyzing the market and thinking beyond the immediate future to develop successful strategies for supporting our Carrier partners is required.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, determined within a specified range.

This allows for progression as you grow and develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $149,400 and $224,900, with actual pay depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
