Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers, including scheduled or charter services. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ground operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of aircraft, baggage, and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
  • Marshal in the planes and push back the aircraft.
  • Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, re-accommodate customers, and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate.
  • Assist customers with special needs, such as customers who require assistance in boarding.
  • Load and unload baggage and mail of various weights and dimensions to and from aircraft and applicable airport baggage areas.
  • Operate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment, including tugs, tractors, belt loaders, bag carts, push-back tractors, deicers, etc.
  • Enforce safety/security measures and monitor safety-sensitive zones.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and Allegiant Air regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience or equivalent in related training and/or experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to receive and understand instructions, directives, and ensure safety.
  • Valid/unexpired driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of general office equipment preferred.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise, temperature, and light fluctuations is expected.
