Job Summary
The City of Hampton, VA is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. As a Traffic Signal Control Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic systems and traffic signal control equipment. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electronic systems and traffic signal control equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and traffic signal control equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electronic systems and traffic signal control equipment
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of electronic systems and traffic signal control equipment
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Specialized courses or training in electronics or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in electronics or a related field
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B within 180 days of employment
