PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role requires a high level of expertise and extensive knowledge in executing tasks related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modifications of maintenance or technical training programs specific to the plant.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Enhances station and personnel performance through effective training programs.
- Designs, schedules, coordinates, and delivers performance-based maintenance or technical training programs as needed by the user community, adhering to departmental procedures and the Exelon TSD model.
- Develops trainee assessments and conducts evaluations in various environments, including classroom, laboratory, on-the-job training, and simulation, while also providing counseling sessions for trainees and recommending tailored training programs.
- Engages in station support activities, such as outage support and root cause analysis.
- Ensures training programs remain up-to-date, integrating insights from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, Exelon NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, as well as changes in plant design and procedures, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
- Supports station and fleet initiatives in business projects, refueling outages, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects.
- Participates in audits conducted by NRC, INPO, and management, preparing responses to audit findings.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of plant operations and relevant skills necessary to develop and deliver high-quality training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma.
- 5+ years of nuclear technical experience or 7+ years of related industry experience.
- 2+ years in training or education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- AS/AA in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Instrumentation and controls expertise.
- 7+ years of technical experience in nuclear power plants focusing on instrumentation and controls or 10+ years of related industry experience in instrumentation and controls instruction.
- 5 years of experience in nuclear training.
