Overview

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in our Neuroscience department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and basic hygiene.
  • Perform basic patient care activities such as vital signs, observation, and reporting of signs and symptoms of disease state, posturals, and simple dressing changes.
  • Assist in patient mobility, including ambulating, turning, positioning, and range of motion exercises.
  • Perform EKGs and bedside testing, such as blood glucose, colon screening, dextrose secretions, and specific gravity.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or LPN with the Washington State Nursing Commission.
  • Current healthcare provider American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Basic skills in using a PC required.
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist patients using proper body mechanics, with occasional lifting or pushing up to 50 lbs. and pulling up to 100 lbs.
