Job Summary

The University of Alabama seeks a highly skilled Recreation Facilities Coordinator to assist in the professional management and supervision of the Student Recreation Center and various university facilities available to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and supervision of recreation facilities, including the Student Recreation Center, Robert E. Witt Student Activity Center, and Parker-Haun Tennis Facility.
  • Provide a respectful, supportive, and healthy environment for University Recreation participants, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants.
  • Communicate issues with facility maintenance and mechanical systems to the Associate Director for Facility Operations & Special Events.
  • Manage patron services and relations, including scheduling, revenue accounting, risk assessment, and policy administration.
  • Hold primary responsibilities in managing equipment, administrative tasks, and financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and some experience in facility operations in a collegiate or municipal recreation work environment.
  • CPR and First Aid Instructor certification required, or ability to attain within six months of hire date.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of progressive facility management experience in a campus recreation or similar setting.
  • Experience with recreation management systems, such as FUSION and Connect2Concepts.
