Job Summary:

PrideStaff is seeking a Medical Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the work and activities of EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses. You will receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls in the CAD system, providing top-tier customer service to medical facilities, the public, and our EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the work and activities of EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls in the CAD system.
  • Provide top-tier customer service to medical facilities, the public, and our EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses.
  • Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in the office and while on the phone with customers.
  • Dispatch ambulances to scheduled runs to ensure appropriate medical level of transport care to area facilities.
  • Intake a large call volume, triage to determine the appropriate level of care and coordinates transport.
  • Fulfill other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Proven experience as a dispatcher in a relevant field (EMS/ Clinical background is preferred)
  • Emergency Medical Technician training and certification (preferred)
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer-aided dispatch software (CAD)
  • Ability to type 50+ words per minute with experience in data entry
  • Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations
  • Proficient in English (oral and written)
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Active listener with excellent communication skills
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to pivot work focus as priorities shift, based on the needs of the business

Shift Time: 3:00pm - 10:30pm

40 hours per week
