Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Swim Instructor - Part-Time to join our team at the Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our swimmers while maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our swimming pools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers as needed
  • Maintain the swimming pool, deck, and surrounding areas, including cleaning gutters and assisting with restroom and locker room maintenance
  • Perform various maintenance duties to ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of our facilities
Work Environment

Our Swim Instructor - Part-Time will work at one of our two locations: the Jerry Tingle Activity Center (East Tuscaloosa County) or the Bobby Miller Activity Center (South Tuscaloosa County). This is a part-time position, and all applicants are subject to a pre-employment background check and drug screens.
