Overview

Novant Health is seeking a full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) to join our team at Presbyterian Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering remarkable healthcare to our patients, families, and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a patient advocate by incorporating education into the interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Prioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels, ensuring timely completion of care interventions and medical orders.
  • Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients as needed.
  • Evaluate patient needs and provide routine respiratory care, including ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy, and higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations.
  • Demonstrate independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care, practicing according to state requirements and standards.
  • Critical Care Specific: Ventilator management, code blue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, and use of related protocols for patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required.
