About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Operations Manager to join our team at NorthStar Clean Energy, a CMS Energy company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our solar project, ensuring efficient and safe execution of all aspects of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe and timely completion of all work orders, planned maintenance, and predictive maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and administer Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Oversee the maintenance of site facilities, access roads, substations, and other site areas.
  • Perform inspections and troubleshoot issues with the solar plant, either scheduled or unscheduled.
  • Replace mechanical and electrical components as needed.
  • Operate High Voltage and Medium Voltage breakers and switches.
  • Oversee work performed by contractors and interface with regulatory officials, landowners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with all NERC, FERC, and other regulatory requirements, including submission of reports and filings as required.
  • Coordinate with the corporate compliance department to maintain up-to-date standards of operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field.
  • Master's Degree in a technical or related field preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience executing general plant maintenance and solar operations.
