Role Purpose
The Innovation Portfolio Management Specialist utilizes specialized knowledge and skills to facilitate departmental functions that bolster the Company's operations. Candidates typically prepare for this role through relevant education, certifications, or substantial work experience. This position may involve overseeing a small team, with a primary focus on applying expert knowledge as an independent contributor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Innovation team on various projects, assess resource capacity, and track and report on portfolio performance metrics.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of solutions, policies, and processes to promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with business requirements. Propose enhancements to deliver high-quality, value-driven services.
  • Design, implement, and refine policies and programs that align with business objectives; assist in program development and enhancements.
  • Conduct research and analysis to maintain, modify, and prepare data and information that inform business decisions. Present findings and articulate results effectively.
  • Create, edit, and disseminate a range of business documents, including reports, proposals, policies, and marketing materials.
  • Facilitate meetings, webinars, and training sessions for diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Represent the assigned function in various external engagements, including audits and meetings.
  • Lead or participate in complex departmental projects, ensuring effective resource utilization and adherence to project management standards.
  • Engage in company initiatives and workgroups.
  • Foster internal and external partnerships to enhance communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues in developing the necessary technical and interpersonal skills for effective performance.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in portfolio management
A related Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in project management is highly desirable
Proficiency in database management and advanced reporting tools
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Background in financial analysis

Physical Demands:
This role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring minimal physical exertion.
