Job Title: Head Wrestling Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Wrestling Coach to lead our wrestling program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching plan, leading practices and competitions, and mentoring student-athletes to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a coaching plan that aligns with the athletic department's philosophy and goals.
  • Lead practices and competitions, providing guidance and support to student-athletes.
  • Mentor student-athletes to develop their skills, confidence, and sportsmanship.
  • Collaborate with the athletic director and other coaches to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Recruit and retain student-athletes, promoting the wrestling program and the Town of Andover, MA.
  • Develop and manage the wrestling program's budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and the community, promoting the program's success and values.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of coaching experience in wrestling.
  • Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, strategies, and rules.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including student-athletes, parents, and community members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
