Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care in the ambulatory setting. Working collaboratively with the healthcare team, the LPN provides nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the physician or Registered Nurse (RN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination and treatment areas per clinic standards.
  • Participate in pre-visit planning and prepare exam and treatment areas per clinic standards.
  • Complete patient rooming procedures, including vital signs, data collection, and other identified components specific to the clinic setting.
  • Accurately administer and document medications in accordance with best practice and clinic policy.
  • Perform nursing procedures and treatments within Scope of Responsibilities according to nursing division and clinic specific standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
  • Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience.
