Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to execute tests on data center compute and cooling hardware. Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs. Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation. Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system. Provide training and support to system designers and users.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute tests on data center compute and cooling hardware.
  • Assemble and modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs.
  • Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
  • Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
  • Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  • Provide training and support to system designers and users.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with datacenter compute hardware - such as servers, network switches, power delivery units, etc.
  • Experience executing and modifying scripts for compute hardware testing, including scripting tools such as Python, CLI, SSH, Redfish, Postman, etc.
  • Experience working with UNIX or Linux based operating systems.
  • Experience reworking computer circuit boards - i.e. soldering components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Experience with electronics test equipment, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DVMs, emulators, etc.
  • Experience with server cooling equipment, including air cooling, liquid cooling, and immersion cooling.

  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Bachelors degree
