Clinical Unit Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Unit Supervisor to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of Registered Nurses in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and direct the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Registered Nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Director to develop and implement unit-specific quality and performance improvement plans.
- Participate in the implementation of the hospital's strategic plan and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection of new employees, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment, maintaining regulatory standards and patient safety goals.
- Act as a liaison between Medical Staff and other personnel, promoting positive interpersonal relationships and effective communication.
- Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date)
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing, with a minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience.
- Current California Nursing license
- Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
