Clinical Unit Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Unit Supervisor to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of Registered Nurses in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and direct the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients receive individualized attention and treatment.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Director to develop and implement unit-specific quality and performance improvement plans.
- Assist with the recruitment and training of new employees, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent patient care.
- Participate in the implementation of the hospital's strategic plan and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Assist with the management of unit resources, including supplies, equipment, and patient rooms.
- Provide guidance and support to staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
- Bachelor of Sciences degree in nursing (individuals hired without a BSN will be required to complete a degree program within 5 years of their hire date)
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in Medical / Surgical /Telemetry nursing with regard to regulatory guidelines and standard of practice; minimum one (1) year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience.
- Current California Nursing license
- Certification in Medical / Surgical Nursing preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred
