KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic leadership to the nursing department, cultivating a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and ongoing education.
- Oversee the training and professional development of nursing personnel, ensuring sufficient staffing levels and competencies to meet resident requirements.
- Implement and uphold Sapphire policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to guarantee the highest standards of resident care and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to formulate individualized care plans for residents.
- Monitor and assess nursing care outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement and executing quality improvement initiatives as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations governing nursing practice.
- Act as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, offering guidance, support, and clinical expertise to promote professional growth and development.
- Engage in interdisciplinary meetings, care conferences, and quality assurance activities to advance resident-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Utilize knowledge of standard precautions and infection control measures as required.
- Guide staffing procedures and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment, with a proven track record of effectively leading and managing nursing teams.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on resident needs.
- Thorough understanding of nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centered care and advocating for the needs and preferences of residents.
