Chief Financial Officer Opportunity at Northeast Montana Health Services

Northeast Montana Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their team. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will play a critical role in driving the organization's financial strategy and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the health system.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, with experience in leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including the challenges and opportunities facing rural health systems.

The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. This will include managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as leading financial planning and analysis initiatives. The CFO will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, including the board of directors, physicians, and community leaders.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive financial performance through effective planning, analysis, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Lead financial planning and analysis initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including the board of directors, physicians, and community leaders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience as a CFO or VP of Finance in a large to mid-sized health system or equivalent combination of education/or experience
  • Recent experience in an acute care environment is required
  • Experience with for-profit, non-profit, and public hospital districts preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with Federal and state-based healthcare programs to help maximize revenue and financial opportunities
  • Knowledge of Cerner Community Works and Multiview

Northeast Montana Health Services is a voluntary, non-profit corporation with two Critical Access Hospitals, two rural healthcare clinics, two retail pharmacies, and a long-term care home.
