Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Physicians Mobile X-ray Inc. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sonography services, examinations as ordered by attending physician in accordance with established protocol in mobile environment.
  • Prepare preliminary reports and contact referring physicians when required, according to established procedures.
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care is provided.
  • Address problems of patient care as they arise, and make decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.
  • Organize daily work schedule and perform related clerical duties as required.
  • Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients while the examination is being performed.
  • Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide in-service education team on requirements of sonographic procedures as requested by other members of the health care team.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles in proper working order.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program.
  • Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • No experience necessary if education and training requirements are met.
