Funciones Esenciales:
- Dirigir grupos a través de clases de ejercicio adecuadas, siguiendo los principios de salud y fitness de YMCA, incluyendo selección segura de ejercicios y uso adecuado de la música.
- Orientar a los miembros con limitaciones médicas especiales al Director de Salud y Bienestar.
- Establecer una actitud positiva y enérgica durante las clases, utilizando una voz clara y entusiasta.
- Supervisar el comportamiento de los miembros, mostrando paciencia y tacto, asegurando que las acciones individuales no infrinjan los derechos de los demás.
- Mantener el equipo de fitness en orden y asegurar que los miembros lo devuelvan adecuadamente.
- Presentarse siempre bien cuidado y con la vestimenta adecuada para el ejercicio.
- Ser puntual, comenzando y finalizando las clases a tiempo, utilizando el tiempo de manera eficiente.
- Responsable de asegurar un sustituto adecuado cuando no pueda liderar una clase programada.
- Monitorear visualmente a los participantes para su condición general y técnica, anticipando posibles preocupaciones de seguridad.
- Participar en reuniones y actividades de capacitación del personal, manteniendo certificaciones actuales de ejercicio grupal y CPR/Primeros Auxilios.
- Brindar un servicio al cliente de alta calidad a todos los miembros y estar dispuesto a realizar recorridos por YMCA para nuevos o potenciales miembros.
- Asistir en la evacuación de emergencia del edificio y en otras tareas especiales según sea necesario.
- La efectividad de esta posición debe ser observable y medible a través de encuestas de satisfacción de los miembros y evaluaciones.
- Adherirse a las políticas relacionadas con los límites con miembros, voluntarios y personal.
- Asistir a la capacitación requerida en Gestión de Riesgos de Abuso y seguir los procedimientos relacionados con la supervisión de actividades de alto riesgo.
- Reportar comportamientos sospechosos o inapropiados y seguir los procedimientos de reporte de abuso.

Calificaciones:
- Certificación en Principios de Salud y Fitness de YMCA y Certificación de Instructor de Ejercicio en Grupo de YMCA, o completarlas dentro de los primeros seis meses de enseñanza.
- Actitud positiva y habilidades de servicio al miembro, con capacidad para relacionarse efectivamente con diversas poblaciones.
- Certificación en CPR/AED y Primeros Auxilios o obtenerla dentro de los 90 días de empleo.
Ambiente de Trabajo y Demandas Físicas:
Este trabajo requiere actividades físicas como escalar, inclinarse, arrodillarse, girar, alcanzar, sentarse, estar de pie, caminar, levantar, y más. El trabajo se realiza principalmente en interiores y se debe poder levantar hasta 50 lbs.
