About the Role

AIR Communities is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a 200+ unit Luxury property near Downtown Boston. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.
  • May assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment.
  • Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
  • A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
  • Comfort with physical activity, as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
