About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at POAH Communities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain the condition of apartment properties throughout the community, identifying and addressing any unsafe conditions promptly.
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all necessary equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending the lifespan of our assets.
- Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed to the highest standards, meeting the needs of our residents and maintaining the integrity of our properties.
- Assist in keeping grounds neat and clean, performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, and shoveling as necessary.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance, with a strong background in facilities management and repair.
- High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance coverage, as use of personal vehicle may be required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call basis as necessary.
- Knowledge and skills in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
- Ability to perform duties 66-100% of the time, including being on feet, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling, reaching above shoulder, climbing ladders, grasping/gripping/turning, finger dexterity, lifting/carrying up to 75lbs, and reading/understanding maintenance forms and warning labels.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
