Job Summary

The Mechanical Production Associate will be responsible for the safe and efficient assembly of mechanical parts using a variety of tools and equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble units using standard hand and power tools by reading from drawings and diagrams.
  • Inspect incoming mechanical parts and pieces; reject and notify supervisor of product which does not conform to specifications.
  • Study and interpret drawings, assembly instructions, and/or standard work instructions to accurately assemble components.
  • Determine if all parts are present; communicate to immediate supervisor the status of needed parts to produce units.
  • Document WIP (digitally and/or photographically) to designated network folders.
  • Rotate through other production lines to assist where needed.
  • Perform co-worker's job functions during absences within the department.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with company safety standards.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent; OR at least one (1) year of related experience in general assembly work or mechanical trade work.
  • English fluency and ability to communicate with others effectively.
  • Basic understanding of how to use non-powered hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills: ability to learn/use new programs, i.e. printer or camera software.
  • Well organized with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, take notes, and work independently.
  • Can adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for placement of parts.

Estimated Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
