Job Description

VadaTech Inc. is a leading Electronics boards design and manufacturing company. We deliver superior quality Electronics equipment to Communication, Defense, and Aerospace sectors.

The Manager of Quality for electronics manufacturing is primarily responsible for sampling units, process and procedures, and applying statistical techniques to ensure efficiency, high quality of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Metrics: Develop and implement metrics for monitoring production effectiveness, enabling managers to make sound product quality decisions.
  • Statistical Data Analysis: Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Perform root-cause analysis to identify effective corrective actions, both internal and vendor-related (SCAR), and initiate process improvements.
  • Process Certification: Develop process certification standards and assist in process certification on the floor.
  • Quality Improvement: Initiate and implement quality improvement activities as appropriate to raise the performance of the company's product lines.
  • Employee Training: Educate and train employees on process and changes, certifications, and compliance.
  • Vendor Interaction: Interact with vendors to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
  • Equipment Calibration: Oversee calibration and testing of equipment.
  • Quality Control Management: Manage quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis.
  • Supplier Quality Requirements: Review supplier's purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
  • Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Customer and Supplier Interaction: Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and ensure that effective corrective action is implemented.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing and Quality Management Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of manufacturing and quality management experience in Electronic Contract manufacturing.
  • Electronics Knowledge: Knowledge of electronics, PCBA, and wire harness manufacturing is required.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Organizational and Analytical Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Scheduling and Organizational Skills: Proven track record of scheduling and organizational skills in order to complete assigned functions.
  • Customer Drawings and Specifications: Proficient at reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
  • Computer Systems and Software: Proficient with computer systems, ERP software, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Communication and Interaction: Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external organization.
  • ISO9001/AS9100 QA Systems: Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 QA systems implementation and management as a QA manager in a medium-sized Electronics Manufacturing environment.
  • Electronics Manufacturing Environment: Having working knowledge in an Electronics Manufacturing environment with knowledge in SMT and Mechanical build techniques is required.
  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001: Functional knowledge of ipc-a-610, familiarity with j-std-001, and the following:
    1. Printed circuit board inspection to ipc-a-610 class
    2. Electronic component identification and verification.
  • Excel and Statistical Data: Knowledge of using Excel to present statistical data are required skills.
  • ESD Procedures: Proficient knowledge of ESD procedures.
  • Job Stress and Interaction: Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
  • English Language: Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write, and speak English well.
  • Written and Oral Instructions: Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
