About the job:

The Quality Control Manager's role involves overseeing the quality function to ensure adherence to customer specifications and company standards in manufacturing containers.

  • Maintain relevant records to monitor quality performance and standards effectively
  • Collaborate with plant departments to address customer complaints and implement corrective actions
  • Support corporate and plant quality system policies and procedures
  • Conduct audits, reports, and corrective action plans
  • Implement quality programs and manage customer relationships
  • Interact with customers to resolve issues and strengthen relations
  • Lead the quality department's effective management, including employee selection and development
  • Establish a safe, sustainable work environment
  • Handle a unionized workforce

Minimum Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in manufacturing quality
  • Two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multitask in a team-based setting
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with quality management systems

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in math, engineering, or related field
  • Prior exposure to SAP ERP
  • Five years of experience in glass container manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
