Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager for Electronics Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of production by implementing metrics, statistical techniques, and process improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Quality Metrics
    • Develop and implement metrics for monitoring production effectiveness
    • Enable managers to make sound product quality decisions
  • Statistical Analysis
    • Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data
    • Predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality
  • Process Improvements
    • Perform root-cause analysis to identify effective corrective actions
    • Initiate process improvements to raise the performance of the company's product lines
  • Training and Development
    • Educate and train employees on process and changes
    • Ensure compliance with certifications and standards
  • Vendor Management
    • Interact with vendors to identify opportunities to improve quality
    • Establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel
  • Equipment Calibration and Testing
    • Oversee calibration and testing of equipment's
  • Quality Control Management
    • Manage quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis
  • Supplier Quality Management
    • Review supplier's purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements
  • Audits and Compliance
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum ten (10) years of manufacturing and quality management experience in Electronic Contract manufacturing
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge of electronics, PCBA, and wire harness manufacturing
    • Lean manufacturing experience
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
    • Proficient with computer systems, ERP software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external organization
  • Education and Certifications
    • Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 QA systems implementation and management as a QA manager in a medium-sized Electronics Manufacturing environment
    • Familiarity with ipc-a-610, j-std-001, and ESD procedures
