About Emerald Staffing, a large and well-established healthcare provider, we are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Overview
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team. Your duties will include assisting with patient care, handling medical records, and performing various clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient rooms efficiently, ensuring accuracy of patient information, and assist patients with comfort and needs.
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding test results, prescriptions, and appointment scheduling, ensuring clear understanding and addressing any concerns.
- Complete prior authorization requests for medications and procedures in a timely and accurate manner, coordinating with insurance providers as needed.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently, considering patient preferences, provider availability, and clinic capacity to minimize wait times and optimize workflow.
Qualifications and Skills
- MA Diploma + externship completed + 1 year MA experience preferred (Open to New Grads).
- MA credentials/certification or ability to certify in 30 days.
- Current on all vaccinations/immunizations.
- Pass background & 10-panel UA.
- Prior experience within surgical clinic preferred.
Schedule
Monday (7am-5pm), Tuesday (7am-5pm), Wednesday (7am-1pm), Thursday (7am-5pm), Friday (9am-2pm).
Compensation
$20.00 - $26.00 Hourly.
We offer employees weekly paychecks (direct deposit), and upon eligibility, we offer health insurance (Kaiser), accrued paid sick time (Oregon Paid Sick Leave), and a retirement option (OregonSaves).
