Quality Control Specialist

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist to join our team in Stafford, VA. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with aerospace industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations and standards.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of electromechanical components, parts, and systems to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities, including detailed documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions taken.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, conducting audits and source-inspections as necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to personnel involved in quality control activities, ensuring understanding and adherence to quality standards and procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks related to quality control and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and reliability of aerospace products.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with changes in industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and proactively implementing necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the quality control of electromechanical parts and assemblies, including circuit boards, harnesses, small metal hardware, composite structures.
  • Thorough understanding of aerospace regulations, standards, and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques is a plus.
