Key Responsibilities- Operate Motor Grader: Safely operate a GPS and Laser Controlled Grading System motor grader to conduct rough grade work on new highways.
- Perform Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the motor grader, including oiling, greasing, and making necessary adjustments to equipment.
- Ensure Safety: Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report any unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Collaborate with Team: Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Develop Strong Relationships: Gain the respect of others by being fair, honest, reliable, and hard working.
- Experience: Must have at least six (6) or more years of experience as a Motor Grader Operator in heavy highway and civil construction.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Mathematical proficiency as it relates to basic geometry, algebra, and mathematics.
- Physical Demands: Ability to move throughout a construction jobsite, including minor obstacles, and perform heavy physical activity.
