We're looking for a talented Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement sophisticated signal processing algorithms for applications in telemetry, radio navigation, and other RF systems
  • Develop advanced algorithms to detect the presence and severity of GPS denial events
  • Build software tools to analyze flight test GPS and Telemetry signals for performance assessment and anomalous behavior
  • Research, prototype, and field test navigation algorithms complementary to GPS which include multi-sensor collaboration and signals of opportunity
  • Contribute to the design and qualification of flight electronics packages which collect and telemeter data on reentry system tests
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent technical discipline
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated experience working in algorithm, hardware or software development relating to PNT systems and/or Test and Evaluation Systems of PNT systems
  • Proficient in scientific programming languages such as Matlab or Python, modern C++, and software development methodologies
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance
