We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our team, you will design and implement sophisticated signal processing algorithms for applications in telemetry, radio navigation, and other RF systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced signal processing algorithms for PNT systems
  • Develop and test GPS receivers for post-processing applications and challenged RF environment use cases
  • Research and prototype navigation algorithms complementary to GPS, including multi-sensor collaboration and signals of opportunity
  • Contribute to the design and qualification of flight electronics packages that collect and telemeter data on reentry system tests
  • Brief sponsors and working groups to effectively communicate proposed concepts, solutions, and analysis
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent technical discipline
  • 3 or more years of demonstrated experience working in algorithm, hardware, or software development relating to PNT systems and/or Test and Evaluation Systems of PNT systems
  • Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Matlab or Python, modern C++, and software development methodologies
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance
