Cardiac Medicine Professional Development Manager

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Development Leader to join our Cardiac Medicine and Surgery team. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing programs for staff development, education, research, quality, and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including workshops, training sessions, and online courses.
- Collaborate with Nurse Directors in Cardiac Medicine and Surgery to identify learning needs and develop targeted programs.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure programs are meeting their intended goals.
- Partner with the Associate Chief Nurse of the division to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead evidence-based practice initiatives and promote a culture of safety and just culture framework.
- Develop and maintain budgets for programmatic work and monitor expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
- Represent the Chief Nursing Officer/Associate Chief Nurse/Executive Director on committees as needed.
- MSN (or) MS with a major in Nursing (or) DNP (or) PhD with a major in Nursing (or) a BSN with a Master's degree in a related field, required.
- Specialty certification is required at the time of hire. Certification must be maintained while employed in this position.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse required.
- Meets health requirements.
- Demonstrated evidence of competent nursing practice in clinical area or specialty.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with the BWH professional community at large.
- Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
- Expert critical thinking skills.
- Expertise in leading training and education programs.
