Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a dynamic evening shift role. As a key member of our critical care team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Administer various respiratory care modalities, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy, to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to and after therapy, documenting responses and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize departmental performance.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory care and disease management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Current State of Connecticut license is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification and ACLS certification within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cross-training in Cardiology, Pulmonary Lab, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • Certification in Cardiology and Pulmonary Function Technology.
