Position Overview:

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Patient Access Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless access to care for our patients. This position is integral to the operations of our Labor and Delivery and Birth Center departments.

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion

Employment Type: Part-Time, 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period)

Shift: Rotating

Compensation: $24.83 per hour, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care through a comprehensive understanding of the nursing process.
  • Embrace a collaborative approach, working alongside a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Focus on patient wellness, integrating a patient-centered perspective and evidence-based practices.
  • Serve as a mentor, guiding new team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Adapt to new knowledge and practices in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Ensure safety and quality are prioritized at every point of patient interaction.

Specialized Care Areas:
  • Direct care is provided in units such as Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Women's Care, and NICU.
  • Adhere to AWHONN and AACN standards, utilizing certifications to guide evidence-based care.
